Nawada: Three naxalites were nabbed from Baskatwa jungles on Nawada-Gaya border in a joint combing operation conducted by the COBRA and STF jawans on December 19 night. The three ultras, like their four counterparts arrested a week back, owe allegiance to the Praduman Sharma faction of the Maoists. The three were also involved in the destruction of the newly built Kharond railway station in Sirdalla as well as torching of several official vehicles of the railways. The three were identified as Kundan Chaurasia of Jehanabad, Hanuman Singh and one Bhokta from Nawada.
In another development, unidentified criminals failing to extract an extortion of Rs 5 lakh, bombed the Sakshi Mobile shop at Rupoh market under Rupoh police station on December 19. Its proprietor Neel Kamal has lodged an FIR with the Rupoh police station. The criminals also left a note that in their next move, they would kill the family members of the proprietor.
