Three gamblers arrested at Ara

Ara: Bhojpur police, on a tip off, conducted raid at Patel Bus Stand under Nawada police station on September 7  evening and arrested three gamblers and also seized two mobiles, guessing coupons in large numbers and Rs 5,800  cash. The arrested persons were identified as Gopal Prasad, Bhorik Yadav and Dinesh Yadav. They were forwarded to jail.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that he got information that a guessing centre was running at Patel Bus Stand and so he formed a police team under ASP (operations) Md. Sajid that raided the place in the evening on Wednesday and arrested three gamblers. The SP said that the police had earlier too conducted raid at Patel Bus Stand and some other areas under Nawada police stations and Town police station and had arrested a number of gamblers. The SP said that the gamblers after their release from jail again became active in the gambling business as they were earning over Rs 50,000 daily from this business.
