Muzaffarpur : East Champaran police on  June 3, 2017, arrested a suspected terrorist Farmullah Ansari, a Nepal citizen, from Raxaul on Indo-Nepal border. NIA had announced a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head. He was allegedly involved in fake currency and drug racket. Police officials interrogated Ansari to get the names of his other associates active in border area.

East Champaran police had received information that Ansari, a resident of village Hariharpur in Bara district in Nepal, had come to meet his friend at village Islampur under Raxaul sub-division in East Champaran district in Bihar. A police team led by DSP, Raxaul, Rakesh Kumar conducted raid at the village and arrested him though they failed to seize anything from his possession. Abi Ahmad, also a suspected terrorist from Sikta in West Champaran district arrested recently, had revealed the name of his co-villager Ansari during interrogation.
