Patna : The marital discord between RJD Chief Lalu Prasad’s eldest son Tej Pratap Yadav, MLA and former Minister, and Aishwarya Roy, daughter of senior RJD MLA and former Minister Chandrika Roy, touched a new low on December 27, 2019, with the latter refusing to allow unloading of vehicles laden with his daughter’s personal belongings apprehending that incriminating objects might have been concealed in it to frame his family in a false case.

Chandrika Roy also lodged a complaint with the Shastri Nagar Police Station (PS), Patna, insisting that the goods sent to his home on December 26, 2019, night, cannot be unloaded without the presence of any member of Lalu Prasad’s family and with no magistrate in attendance to supervise the process.

Aishwarya had been allegedly driven out of her marital home, a few hundred meters away from her parents’ house, by her mother-in-law, former chief minister Rabri Devi last week.

The allegations levelled by Chandrika Roy against Rabri Devi do not amount to any cognisable offence. Hence we are conducting a preliminary inquiry. If at a later stage a need arises, we may register an FIR under relevant sections, according to Shastri Nagar Police Station SHO Vimalendu Kumar.

The drama began late December 26 night when two pick-up vans carrying Aishwarya’s personal items, which were loaded at Rabri Devis 10, Circular Road bungalow, reached Chandrika Roy’s residence where his daughter has been staying for the past one week. Chandrika Roy, son of former Bihar Chief Minister late Daroga Prasad Roy, got furious when his security personnel informed him about it.
