Bagaha : The northen part of Tegarahi river embankment breached in around 20 metres on July 11, 2019, following heavy downpour in its catchment area during last 48 hours. Many rivers are in spate following the heavy rains.

The flood water has entered many Tharuhat villages including Binawalia, Barawakhurd, Bhelahi, Nautanawa villages under Bagaha-2 block in West Champaran district. The incessant rains has also put pressure on Done branch canal. Dipnarain Prasad, President, Tharu Welfare Federation, said that due to sudden breach in the northen portion of Tegarahi bund, paddy crops planted recently in hundred of hactres have been submerged in flood water.
