Teenage girl killed in accident in Rohtas

Sasaram : A teenage girl was crushed to death by a speeding tractor at Majhauli Mor on Babhanwar-Kowath main road under Dawath police station in Rohtas district on May 29, 2019, evening. The driver escaped with the tractor after the incident. Police recovered the body and brought it over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

The deceased was identified as Savita Kumari, 15, daughter of Kaushlendra Kumar Yadav of village Hameer-Dihari under Dawath police station. An FIR was lodged by Dawath police station against tractor driver of village Kowath Dhan Ji Paswan on the statement of the deceased’s father but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Dawath police station, said that Savita Kumari was going to her coaching centre along with her friends on bicycle and when she reached near Manjhauli Mor, a speeding tractor coming from opposite direction knocked her down killing her on the spot and escaped.
