Suspected honour killing of girl at Rohtas village, FIR lodged against 3 persons

Sasaram : A named FIR was lodged by Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district against three persons including the father in connection with suspected honour killing of a teenage girl at village Kaupa.

SHO, Bikramganj police station, said that the 16 year old daughter of Md Gulam Mustafa was kidnaped five days ago and an FIR was lodged against four persons including Mukesh Chaudhary of village Kushi in connection with her kidnapping. On April 16, 2019, the girl appeared before DSP Raj Kumar and said that no one had kidnapped her and she had gone to her maternal uncle.

After getting her statement registered under Section 164 of CrPC in the court, police handed over the girl to her family members on April 17, 2019.  On April 18, 2019,  police got information that the girl had been killed. DSP Raj Kumar,  Inspector Subodh Kumar along with police force rushed to the spot.

Md. Gulam Mustafa told police that the girl had committed suicide . But, Sairun Nisha, mother of the deceased, said that her daughter had not committed suicide but was killed instead. Taking serious note of conflicting version of girl’s father and mother, police lodged  murder case and are investigating into the incident.
