Raxaul ( Bihar) :  Senior BJP leader and Bihar Deputy Chief minister  Sushil Kumar Modi ( SuMo), who on May 7, 2019, staged a roadshow in Raxaul Town in East Champaran District on Indo-Nepal border in North Bihar to mobilise support for party nominee from Paschimi Champaran parliamentary constituency (PC) Dr Sanjay Jaiswal, the sitting MP, said that there was a strong undercurrent in favour of PM Narendra Modi across the country.  Paschimi Champaran parliamentary constituency goes to poll on May 12, 2019, in the 6th phase of Lok Sabha polls.

Sushil Modi, riding an open pick-up van with Dr Sanjay Jaiswal,  started the roadshow from Koeriyatola locality of Raxaul town. A large number of BJP supporters and locals participated in the roadshow. The people standing on both  sides of the  road  greeted Modi with ‘BJP Zindawad’ slogan.

Addressing a big gathering after roadshow, SuMo said  there is strong undercurrent in favour of PM Narendra Modi in
the country as witnessed in 2014 LS polls. The people are voting on national issues like national security and
development, he said. He said that the Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance) partners was indulging in vilification campaign against PM Modi as they do not have any agenda. SuMo said that the Grand Alliance partners are fighting among themselves as their only objective is to grab  power and make money.

Earlier, SuMo addressed two election rallies at Pipra and Sangrampur  in Purvi Champaran PC where Union Agriculture Minister  Radha Mohan Singh is the BJP candidate, who is locked in  fight with RLSP candidate Akash Kumar, son of
Congress Rajya Sabha Member MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh. Modi said that the  NDA Government at the centre has taken a slew of measures to improve the economic condition of farmers and has initiated integrated farming.
