Patna: ” Education is increasingly getting globalised in the second decade of 21st century. It the time for Online admission, Online exams, Online exam results and Mass Online Open Courses( MOOC), the universities in Bihar must adjust their examination system accordingly,” said Bihar governor-cum-chancellor Ram Nath Kovind on Sunday while addressing a day long workshop on `The justification for a Higher Education Examination Board’ at Nalanda Open University (NOU) conference hall located at Biscomaun Bhavan.

Inaugurating the workshop, the governor said apart from constituting Examination Board, the state universities should have a common syllabus and they must ensure it is completed in time and exam schedule and date of results should also be fixed for them and students should get their marks-sheet on time. He said at the meeting of vice-chancellors, held twice this year, it was decided to introduce `Choice Based Credit System’ in all the universities in Bihar to impart world class  education to the students. The examination system must be transparent and free from malpractices, he said.

Education minister Ashok Chaudhary said that the workshop will be of immense help in regularising academic session, holdings examinations on time and quality evaluation.
