Ara: Three persons were shot at and injured two of them seriously at North Ekauna village under Barahara police station in Bhojpur district a group clash on Sunday. Police brought the injured to Ara Sadar Hospital but the attending doctor at the hospital referred two of them to Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) due to their critical condition. Land dispute is said to be the reason behind the incident.

The injured were identified as Umesh Singh, 30, son of Ram Niwas Singh, Surya Deo Singh, 22, son of Kashi Nath Singh, and Ram Niwas Singh, 55, son of Tez Yogan Singh of North Ekauna village. An FIR has been lodged with  Barahara police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

The SHO Barahara police station said that Jainath Singh of North Ekauna village had an old enmity with Umesh Singh, Surya Deo Singh and Ram Niwas Singh. In the legal battle, Jainath Singh lost. After the court verdict, the trio were working in their field in the morning on Sunday. Seeing them in the field, Jainath Singh along with some of his associates, came there and objected to it and when they did not obey, Jainath Singh opened fire at them.
