Patna : World No 10 Kidamabi Srikanth, 26, and World No 26 Parupalli Kashyap, 33, both India, crashed out of Yonex French Open, an HSBC BWF World Tour Super 750 event, at Paris, France, on October 23, 2019, losing their respective first round matches.

World No 2 Chou Tien Chen, Chinese Taipei, beat Srikanth in a three-game thriller 15-21, 21-7, 21-14 in 55 minutes coming from behind at Stade Pierre De Coubertin, Paris, France, on October 23 evening. Second seed Chen won 57 rallies in the match to 42 by Srikanth. He won 6 consecutive points in the match to 5 by the Indian. Chen now leads Srikanth 4-1 Head to Head.

World No 9 N G Ka Long Angus, Hong Kong, demolished Kashyap 21-11, 21-9 in 33 minutes in first round. Angus won 42 rallies in the match to 20 by Kashyap. He won 5 consecutive points to 3 by Kashyap. It was first meeting between the two players.
