Buxar : Buxar police are still groping in dark in the kidnapping and subsequent murder of a minor boy Ashish Kumar, 15, son of a retired armyman.  Police have recovered body of a minor boy from a dilapidated building near Power House under Dumraon police station in Buxar district on August 24, 2019, and brought it over to Buxar Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.

SHO, Dumraon police station, said that some miscreants had kidnapped a minor boy Ashish Kumar, son of a former armyman Gajendra Tiwari, 17 days ago from Textile Colony under Dumraon police station in Buxar district when he had gone to visit a fair at the village with his friends. His family members had lodged an FIR with police in this connection and police were conducting raids to recover the boy. The family members had also approached CM Nitish Kumar and  DGP Gupteshwar Pandey for the recovery of the missing boy.

The DGP had directed the Buxar police to recover the body at the earliest but to no avail.  In the meantime, police got information that body of a minor boy was seen in a dilapidated building near Power House. Police soon rushed to the spot and recovered the body. The SHO stated that the miscreants had demanded Rs 30 lakh as ransom for the release of the boy and when their demand was not fulfilled, they killed him within two or three days of kidnapping him.
