Two persons killed due to electrocution at Rohtas village

Sasaram :Two persons including a woman were electrocuted to death at Badka Rasakiya village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district on August 25, 2019, when they were working in their field.

The villagers blocked Natwar-Dinara main road near Badka Rasakiya village with the bodies paralysing the movement of vehicles. They raised slogans against the officials of the Energy Department and demanded compensation to the next of kin of the deceased. The blockade was lifted after positive response from the officials.

Later, police brought the bodies over to Sasaram Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Bikramganj police station in this connection. The deceased were identified as Bijendra Paswan and his wife Ramuna Devi.

SHO, Bikramganj police station, said that Bijendra Paswan and Ramuna Devi were working in their field on August 25 when 11000 volt live electric wire fell on them killing them on the spot.
