Ara : Some armed miscreants moving on a Scorpio pumped five bullets into the body of an Intermediate student Ravi Kumar, 18, son of a former Homeguards officer late Suresh Singh, near Ujjain Tola under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district on August 24, 2019, evening, and escaped towards Gadhani. Ravi died on the spot.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. Personal dispute is said to the cause behind the incident. A named FIR has been lodged with Udwantnagar police station against Gautam Kumar alias Sonu of South Ekauna and a friend of the deceased, Roushan of Zero Mile, Himanshu of Udwantnagar and two others on the statement of the elder brother of the deceased. Police recovered four blank cartridges from the spot. Police are investigating into the incident and also conducting raids at different places to arrest the miscreant but without success so far. Ravi Kumar was a resident of Ujjain Tola under Udwantnagar police station.
SHO, Udwantnagar police station, said that five armed miscreants on Scorpio came to Ravi Kumar at Ujjain Tola and called him on the road. As he came out, the miscreants pumped bullets into his body and killed him on spot. The SHO said that his father late Suresh Singh was a Homguards officer posted at Hajipur, Vaishali. About six months ago, he died on his way to office due to cardiac arrest.
