Patna: More than six union ministers from Bihar are currently in the state visiting the flood affected areas  in 12 districts as the death toll rose to 140. Union law, justice and IT minister Ravi Shankar Pasad, who reached  here on Sunday morning, went to Fatuha and Bakhtiarpur in Patna district soon after his arrival.

Ravishankar visited relief camps opened for the flood affected people in the two towns inundated by swollen Ganga.He said NDRF was still engaged in rescuing the people from marooned villages in 12 districts of the state. BJP MLAs from Bankipore, Patna, Nitin Nawin and Digha,Sanjeev Churasia, accompanied the union minister.

PM Narendra Modi has talked to the state chief secretary Anjani Kumar Singh about latest flood situation while Union home minister Rajnath Singh also telephonically inquired about the situation from Bihar CM Nitish Kumar and union minister of state Ram Kripal Yadav.The BJP has asked the party MPs to stay in the flood affected areas and extend relief to the affected people.

Union food and consumers affairs minister Ram Vilas Paswan is on a three- day tour to the flood hit Hajipur parliamentary constitutency. He went to the flood affected villages on boat and regretted the government officials were not extending relief materials to the affected people, who were not getting food materials either. Paswan said he has directed the Food Corporation of India to rush 20,000 MT of rice  to the state for flood affected areas.

Union agriculture minister Radha Mohan Singh, after visiting the flood affected areas, charged the state government with neglecting the flood affected people though the Centre had sent NDRF teams by air. No relief has reached  the flood affected peopl,he alleged .
Union minister of state for rural development Ramkripal Yadav is staying at Patna and monitoring relief and rescue measures in the rural areas. He visited Masaurhi, Dhanaruah, Maner, Bihta, Danapur and Diara areas on boats and  distributed food packets arranged by his partymen.  He too alleged the state government was not serious in  extending relief to the people as even food was not being supplied to them.
Union minister of state for HRD Upendra Prasad Kushwaha went to the flood affected areas in Vaishali and Hajipur areas on Sunday morning. He charged the officials with misusing the flood relief materials sent by the Centre. However, he was heckled at two relief camps at Mahnar as the people taking shelter at the camps alleged even food was not being supplied to them.
Union minister of state for medium and small scale industries Giriraj Singh is touring the  flood hit areas of Nawada and Nalanda districts.
RJD president Lalu Prasad and his son deputy chief minnister Tejeshwi Prasad Yadav made a joint aerial survey of flood affected Buxar and Bhojpur districts. RJD vice president and former union minister Raghuwansh Prasad Singh after visiting the marooned villages in Vaishali alleged CM Nitish Kumar was supplying food materials to the flood affected people on paper only. He is engaged in publicity only, Raghuwansh alleged.
Union minister for skill development Rajiv Prasad Rudy on Sunday visited the flood affected areas of his Lok Sabha coonstitutency Saran and went to the villages on boats of NDRF. He talked to the union home minister Rajnath Singh over phone and demanded more central assistance to the flood hit Saran district. He alleged the relief camps in his constitutency were not getting enough food materials and people were still without shelter. Rudy is engaged in relief and rescue operations in his constitutency for the last one week.
