Bettiah : At least six persons lost their lives on November 4, 2021, after allegedly consuming Hooch on November 3, 2021, night, at village South Teluawa under Nautan police station (PS) in West Champaran District in North Bihar.
Confirming the death of six persons of South Teluawa village, West Champaran SP Upendra Nath Verma,, said that prima facie these deaths occurred due to consumption of Hooch. However, the exact cause of the deaths would be known only after the post-mortem and viscera examination reports come.
According to reports, some residents of South teluawa took liquorat their village on November 3, 2021, night, and thereafter their condition deteriorated and they were rushed to different hospitals at Bettiah, headquarters of West Champaran District, but they died . According to son of one of the deceased, his father Prahlad Yadav had consumed liquor on November 3 night at the village .He returned home but his condition started deteriorating. He was rushed to GMCH, Bettiah, but he died.
