Patna : Top see & World No 1 Novak Djokovic, 34, Serbia, and World No 26 Taylor Fritz, 24, USA, will clash in the quarter-final of ATP Rolex Paris masters at Paris, France, on November 5, 2021.

Djokovic, the winner of 20 Grand Slam singles titles, reached the quarter-final by walkover on November 4, 2021,  after his 3rd round opponent 15th seed Gael Monfils, 35, France, the World No 22, retired before the match.

Fritz beat 10th seed Cameron Norrie, 26, UK, in straight sets 6-3, 7-6 in 1hr33 minutes in erd round on November 4, 2021. Fritz fired 10 Aces during the match to 3 by Norrie, who committed 4 double faults. The American also won a break point besides 3 games in a row during the match. Fritz also won the second set tie-break. Fritz, in all, won 77 points in the match to 62 by Norrie.

World No 10 Hubert Hurkacz, 24, Poland, defeated World No 58 Dominik Koepfer,27, Germany, in three-sets 4-6, 7-5, 6-2 in 2hr 6 minutes rallying back from one set down in 3rd round on November 4 to enter QFs of the event. Hurkacz, the 7th seed, hammered 18 Aces during the match to 3 by Koepfer. The POle won 5 break points during the match to 3 by the German. Hurkacz won 4 games in a row during the match to 3 by Koepfer. The Pole, in all, won 103 points in the match to 86 by the German.

World No 55 James Duckworth, 29, Australia, defeated compatriot & World No 71  Alexie Popyrin,22,  in straight sets 7-6, 6-4 in 3rd round to advance to QFs of the event. Duckworth won 4 break points during the match to 3 by Popyrin. He won 5 games in a row during the match to 4 by Popyrin. Duckworth, in all, won 85 points in the match to 75 by Popyrin. Popyrin, however, fired 6 Aces in the match to 4 by Duckworth. Duckworth will face Hurkacz in QF on November 5, 2021.
