Sitamarhi villager on indefinite fast seeking shifting of bank branch

Sitamarhi: An indefinite fast by a Kachor village native Vivek Kumar Mishra demanding shifting of Syndicate Bank, Kachor branch, back to the village from its present location at village Bhutahi, entered its fourth day on April 20, 2017. Mishra is on indefinite fast on the premises of Syndicate Bank, Kachor branch, functioning from village Bhutahi in Sitamarhi district.

The bank functioned from village Kachor in Sitamarhi, from where it was granted licence, for more than five years. But due to floods a decade back, the bank was temporarily shifted to village Bhutahi on NH 77, 3 km away. Despite several representations and series of agitations in the past, it is still functioning from village Bhutahi. The deteriorating health of Vivek Kumar Mishra is  causing concern to the villagers.
