Police yet to arrest criminal making extortion calls to contractor

Sitamarhi: Police are yet to arrest the criminal who had threatened a contractor Kunal Pandey with dire consequence if he does not pay two percent of the estimated cost of a godown construction project at Bairginia Bazaar Samiti in Sitamarhi district to him immediately. Interestingly, police have got the mobile number of the caller.

Bairgania police station on April 19, 2017, lodged an FIR against unknown persons demanding extortion from the contractor and a manager of a construction company Balaji Enterprises. The manager has been constantly receiving extortion calls. SHO, V K Singh, investigation into the matter is underway and security at the construction site had been tightened.
