Bagaha : SDM, Bagaha, Ghanshyam Meena, on November 1, 2018, inspected private Sunrise Public school, Narainapur, and detected many irregularities including very poor enrolment of children below poverty line (BPL).
The SDM said that only 21 students of BPL category were admitted to the school even as it has one thousand students. It had to admit 25% children from BPL category providing them free education, he said. The school is charging tution free equal to the general category students from BPL students, the SDM added. He said that action was being initiated against the school management under different sections of the RTE Act, 2009.
The inspection followed reports that many private schools running in urban areas under Bagaha Sub- Division were not complying with Right to Education Act 2009.
