Munger:  Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh and Primary Shikshak Sangh on Sunday threatned to launch massive agitation if their demands including regular payment of salary to the constratual teachers are not conceded by the state government within a month. This was announced by state secretary of Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh Ram Naresh Pandey, and Vakil Ram, secretary, Munger district unit of Sangh, at the end of a day long dharna by the teachers to press their demands.

A delegation of both the associations separately submitted written memorandums, addressed to the chief minister,  to the district magistrate, Munger,  and the divisional commissioner respectively.They demanded that the teachers on contractual basis should be paid their salaries every month and the  new regulations governing their service conditions should be notified without any delay.

The primary school teachers hailing from Jamui, Lakhisarai, Sheikhpura, Khagaria and Bergusarai participated in large number  in day long dharna near Saheed Smarak. Naresh Kumar Shastri, vice president, state primary school teachers association led the dharna.  Rakesh Kumar Kundan, president, Lakhisarai district primary school teachers association, conducted the proceedings of the dharna. Their demands were almost similar to that f Madhyamik Shikshak Sangh.
