Patna : The Supreme Court would hear a PIL filed by M L Sharma, advocate, seeking cancellation of Bihar legislative council membership of Bihar CM Nitish Kumar for allegedly concealing information about a criminal case pending against him since 1991 in Barh in Patna district in his nomination papers after four weeks.
Petitioner Sharma claimed that CM Nitish Kumar did not disclose the criminal case pending against him in his affidavits since 2004 except for 2012. The Apex Court asked Sharma to furnish a copy of his amended plea to the Election Commission (EC). The case relates to murder of a Congress leader Sitaram Singh just before 1991 Lok Sabha polls from Barh parliamentary constituency.
