Patna: The Supreme Court (SC) deferred hearing of the petitions of Bihar government and Chandrakeshwar Prasad alias Chanda Babu seeking cancellation of bail granted to RJD leader Mohammad Shahabuddin to September 28.
A division bench of Punaki Chandra Ghosh and Amitabh Rai heard the petitions listed for the day.

An application was submitted on behalf of Shahabuddin that he had received the relevant papers on Saturday only and required time to respond to the issues raised in the petitions of Government of Bihar and Chanda Babu.
Shahabuddin was granted bail in double murder case on September 7. Two sons of Chanda Babu were allegedly killed by Shahabuddin supporters.
