Muzaffarpur: Rotary Club will launch a campaign in Muzaffarpur district to increase literacy particularly among poor. It will also start programmes for the benefit of poor children in the district.

Zonal literacy campaign chairman of the club Devashish Mitra while addressing the district literacy seminar on September 25 evening said that the Rotary Club would run programmes to increase literacy among children and women in the district besides running its social service programmes. Lauding the works of Rotary Club of Muzaffarpur Yugal, Mitra said that it was running several very good programmes in Bihar and Jharkjhand and urged the people to participates in them. District governor, Rotary Club, Muzaffarpur, Dr Bharath said that after Polio, the club would  now work in the field of education. He said Rotary International was doing social service in 200 countries.

District Chairman of literacy campaign Dr Rakesh Prasad, Kamal Sanghvi, professor A B Sharan, Sanjay Khemka, Dr Bindu Singh, Vivek  Kumar, Supriyo Sen Gupta, Subodh Jain an d Rajiv Bannerjee also stressed on increasing literacy rate. More than two thousand Rotarians including Dr Chandan Parashar, Mauli Srivastava, Dr N K Mishra, Sanjiv Thakur, Gopal Khemka, Nishant, Dr Kaushal Kishore Kaushik and Zunaid Khan participated in the seminar.ub  ffarpurfarf arr
