Sahni reviews flood situation in W Champaran

Bettiah : Minister Incharge, West Champaran District,  Madan Sahni, and Principal Secretary, Health cum Secretary Incharge, West Champaran, Sanjay Kumar, on August 4, 2019, reviewed the Flood and Drought situation in the district besides reviewing the progress of Green Revolution programme at Bettiah Collectariate Hall. West Champaran DM Nilesh Ramchandra Deore presented a report on flood and drought situation before the Minister at the meeting.

Many MLAs of the district  including Madan Mohan Tiwari(Bettiah),  Narayan  Prasad (Nautan), Prakash  Rai (Chanpatia), Bhagirathi Devi (Ramnagar),Vinay Verma (Narakatiaganj),  Rajesh Ram, MLC, besides West Cchamparan SP Jayant Kant, Bagaha SP Rajiv Ranjan, Bagaha, Bettiah and Narakatiaganj  SDMs, and DDC, Bettiah, were present on the occasion.

The next of kin of ten persons who died in the recent flood in the district were provided Rs 4 lakh each Madan Sahni on tbhe occasion. The  DM said that there was sufficient stock of foodgrains, readymade food, polythene sheets, and medicine in the district. Sahni also planted trees on the premises of RLSY College on the occasion of 70th Van Mahotsaya.
