Patna : South Africa were all out for 382 in 118.4 just before lunch on the third day in their first innings in the second test against Australia at St George’s Park, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on March 11, 2018, riding on an unbeaten 126 in 146 balls with 20 fours and a six by A B de Villers.

South Africa have taken a first innings lead of 139 runs over Australia who were all out for 243 in their first innings. It was de Villiers’s 22nd test century. de Villers was involved in a 84 run partnership with Vernon Philander ( 36) for the 8th wicket and 58 run partnership with Keshav Maharaj ( 30) for the 9th wicket. Maharaj hit Australia’s most fearsome fast bowler Mitchell Starc for three fours in his 32nd over. Lungisani Ngidi was run out for 5.

For  Australia, Pat Cummins took 3/79 while Josh Hazlewood took 2/98 and Mitchell Marsh 2/26. Starc took 1/110 in 33.4 overs.
