Patna: Ruby Rai, a student of  Vishun Roy Intermediate College, Bhagwanpur, Vaishali, was sent to judicial custody till July 8 by the special vigilance court . She was arrested by SIT of Patna police probing the Intermediate Examinations result racket on Saturday and produced before the court on Sunday.

Vikash Chandra, personal assistant to then chairman of Bihar School Examination Board, Lalkeshwar Prasad Singh, was also sent to judicial custody for two weeks. SIT visited the residence of Bachcha Rai, principal, Vishun Roy College on Sunday and served a warrant seeking  arrest of Shalini Rai, his daughter who had topped the BSEB matriculation exam in 2014.

Police arrested Ruby Rai, this year’s Arts topper, and issued warrants against three other toppers including Science stream topper. The 18 other accused arrested in the case are in Beur jail, Patna.
