Sitamarhi : Unidentified miscreants have stolen Rs 42 lakh cash from an SBI ATM at Pupri, a Sub-divisional town in Sitamarhi district. The SBI on November 27, 2018, lodged a case of theft of Rs 42 lakh with Pupri police station under Sitamarhi district in this connection.
The SBI, Pupri (Janakpur Road) branch, in its FIR, has said Rs 52 lakh has been stolen from its ATM located at Madhubani Chowk, Pupri, by some hacker group probably using the secret password. No cut or sabotage mark is visible on the ATM. Police sources said that investigation is underway and an FSL team from Patna was likely to reach Pupri by November 27 evening.
