Sasaram: Rohtas police led by SP Manavjeet Singh Dhillon conducted raid in Zamuhar locality under Dehri-on-Sone police station, considered a den of the stone mafias, and destroyed 72 illegal crushers on Friday and also seized one JCB, three tractors and three motorcycles. Police also arrested five stone mafias along with a Scorpio.
The arrested stone mafias were identified as Chandra Deep Singh, Vijay Mandal, Shiv Kumar, Upendra and Rajendra. Rohtas SP Manavjeet Singh Dhillon said that he got information that some illegal stone business was going on at Gobi Bigaha area under Dehri-on-Sone police station. He along with police force immediately carried out raid in the area and destroyed at least six dozen of stone crushing machines and also foiled the bid of the stone mafias to protest the police action.
