Patna : RJD chief Lalu Prasad on September 12, 2017, said that the RJD would move the Supreme Court (SC) to seek a court monitored CBI probe into the multi-crore Srijan Fund scam.

Addressing a presser at his residence 10, Circular Road, Patna, Lalu alleged that at present the CBI was investigating the scam under pressure. Lalu and his younger son and Leader of Opposition in Bihar assembly Tejaswi Yadav claimed that between July 10 and July 29, 2017, district administration’s cheques had bounced on 14 occasions in Bhagalpur but CM Nitish Kumar was busy making trips to Delhi to break the Mahagathbandhan ( Grand Alliance) in Bihar. They alleged that the givenment was shielding the Srijan scam accused.

Incidentally, it was CM Nitsh Kumar who had recommended CBI robe into the Srijan scam. Earlier, he had constituted an SIT to probe the scam which had arrested 18 suspects.
