Bagaha : Police on September 12, 2017, arrested four named accused in a case of firing in a land dispute at village Barawa under Dhanaha police station in West Champaran district on September 8, 2017, from village Madanpur under Naurangia police station when they planning to escape to Nepal. Three persons were seriousy injured in the firing and admitted to Gorakhpur Medical Collehe Hospital.

The arrested accused are: Nand Yadav, Binod Gond, Manoj Gond and Safiq Gaddi of village Barawa. Nand Yadav group had shot at and seriously injured Ramadhar Nishad, Byas Nishad and Radhey Nishad of  village Barawa in a land dispute on September 8.

Bagaha SP Arbind Kumar Gupta said that due to mounting police pressure two other accused of the case:  Lalbihari Kushwaha and Kosil Yadav, surrendered before the ACJM court, Bagaha, on September 13 within five day of the incident.  The SP said that police will file chargesheet in the case very soon. Nand Yadav was wanted in several criminal cases including attack on police and administrative officers in 2015.
