Patna : Out of the 39,073 village in the state only 477 villages remain to be electrified now as 38,596 villages have already been electrified. The work is in full swing to electrify all the villages by the end of December 2017, according to an official statement issued after review meeting on progress of “Seven Resolves” ( Saat Nischay) chaired by CM Nitish Kumar.
The meeting held to review the progress of schemes under “seven resolves” of good governance was attended by Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, Chief Secretary Anjani Kumar Singh, DGP P K Thakur and senior officials of all the departments. During review of progress building of toilet in every household, it came to light that 16,726 village wards, 478 panchayats, 25 blocks and one sub-division have been declared Open Defecation Free (ODF). The CM instructed the Disaster Management Department to take appropriatiate measures with regard to the toilets damaged in the recent flood in different parts of thestate.
The chief minister was informed that out of 319 universiy and colleges, 300 had been equipped with the Wi-Fi.
