Ara: Floral tributes were paid to the former Deputy Prime Minister Babu Jagjiwan Ram on Thursday on his 30th death anniversary at his ancestral village Chandawa, about 8 km west of Bhojpur district headquarters Ara and also at Jagjiwan College. The programme was organized by the Jagjiwan Ram Vidya Bhawan, New Delhi. His daughter and former Speaker, Lok Sabha, Meira Kumar, people’s representatives, leaders of different political parties and officials paid rich tribute to Jagjivan Ram and also observed two minute silence on the occasion. An all religion prayer was also organized on the occasion.The Chandawa village especially the ‘Samadhi Sthal’ was decorated with flowers and bouquets.
