Ara: Additional District and Session Judge, Ara, B B Singh on Saturday awarded 14 years’ rigorous imprisonment to a rape accused and also slapped a fine of Rs.50, 000 on him. The court also ordered for payment of Rs. 25,000 from the fine to the survivor.
APP Rajesh Kumar said that Dinesh Verma had outraged modesty of an eight year old girl of his landlady on November 12, 2014, at Piro under the same police station when she had gone out and the girl was all alone at home. When she returned, the girl informed her mother about the incident. Later, her mother lodged an FIR with Piro police station against her tenant Dinesh Verma. After hearing, the ADJ awarded 14 years’ rigorous imprisonment to Dinesh Verma .
