New Delhi : Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on March 22, 2018, reviewed here the administrative issues of Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) at a high level meeting. While taking stock of the recruitment and promotion procedures of the CAPFs, Rajnath called for initiation of special mechanisms for reducing delays and fast-tracking recruitment process.
The Home Minister also gave directions for improving the availability of housing and medical facilities to the CAPFs with a view to enhancing the living conditions of the forces, especially those serving in the remote and far-flung areas, according to a PIB release. He called for making available at least a sum of Rs one crore from various sources put together to those families of Jawans who made supreme sacrifice in the line of active duty.
The Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju, Home Secretary Rajiv Gauba and Senior officials of Ministry of Home Affairs and CAPFs attended the meeting.
