New Delhi : Rajiv Mehrishi, a retired IAS officer,  was sworn in as the Comptroller and Auditor-General (CAG) of India on September 25, 2017, at a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan. He took and subscribed to the oath of office before the President. Rajiv Mehrishi will have a tenure till August 7, 2020, according to a PIB release. He is a 1978 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre and is a former Union Home Secretary. He is also former Chief Secretary of Rajasthan. He did BA ( History) and MA ( History) from St Stephen’s College, Delhi.
