Raid in Barh sub-divisional jail
Patna: With Independence Day drawing closer, a search operation was carried out inside Barh sub-divisional jail in the wee hours on Thursday and it led to seizure of objectionable items from there. The raid team was led by Barh SDM Subrat Sen and Barh ASP Manoj Kumar Tiwary.
Police said that separate teams led by the aforesaid officials reached the jail premises at around 4.30 am on Thursday and searched all seven wards of the divisional jail. The search operation lasted for over two hours. A cellphone, three sim cards, three pendrives and Rs 5,3000 cash were seized during the search operation. The cash was recovered from the possession of two jail-birds, said Barh ASP Tiwary.
