Ara: With fraudlument drawal of Rs 14.21 lakh from the fixed deposit of a person in the Head Post Officer (HPO), Ara , coming to light, an FIR was lodged with Nawada police station on Wednesday on the statement of the Post Office Inspector Anil Kumar.

Birendra Kumar of village Asani under Udwantnagar police station said that he had a joint account with Kapil Muni Singh of the same village in the HPO but Kapil Muni Singh is now no more. After his death, Rs. 14.21 lakh was in the account but someone withdrew the whole amount from the account. Birendra Singh had complained the matter in writing to the HPO authorities earlier. After inquiry, the HPO authorities detected that someone had fraudulently drawn Rs 14.21 lakh from the account after opening a fake account in the name of Birendra Singh.
