Ara : A woman was poisoned to death allegedly by her in-laws at village Nahasi under Gadhani police station in Bhojpur district on September 29, 2018, for a motorcycle. A named FIR has been lodged with Gadhani police station against six persons including the husband of the deceased but no arrest has so far been made in this connection. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem.
SHO, Gadhani police station, said that Manisha, 20, daughter of Lal Babu Singh, a Chowkidar of village Gadhani under Charpokhari police station, was married to Rajiv Kumar Raju son of Ravi Shankar of village Nahasi under Gadhani police station on March 9, 2018, was being tortured allegedly by her in-laws ever since for a motorcycle and Rs 3 lakh cash. When their demands were not fulfilled, they poisoned her to death. The SHO said that the deceased was pregnant and added that police were investigating the matter and the culprits would be arrested very soon.
