Police yet to lodge FIR against Barhara RJD MLA

Ara : Assistant Engineer (AE), Rural,  South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL), Raghvendra Prasad Singh, on February 9 evening lodged a complaint with Nawada Police Station  against the RJD MLA from Barhara assembly constituency in Bhojpur district Saroj Yadav alleging the latter had threatened him with dire consequences fromon February 8. The AE demanded protection from police.

But, police had not lodged an FIR in this connection even on February 10 against the RJD MLA. When contacted, SHO, Nawada Police Station, Neyaz Ahamad said that police were inquiring into the matter and an FIR will be lodged after go ahead from the senior official.

The AE said that action was taken against power defaulter four days ago at Karisath village and a named FIR was lodged with Gajrajganj police outpost against nine persons. At this, the Barahara MLA Saroj Yadav called him from his mobile no 9471246715 to his mobile no 7763814265 on February 8 asking him to withdraw the case and when he refused, the MLA threatened him  withdire consequences.

On the other hand, MLA Saroj Yadav refuted the charge but admitted that he had called the AE and asked him not to harass an innocent youth from minority community. The MLA also said that he told the AE to take action against the real power thieves and nothing else.
