Patna : Police are yet to get the post-mortem report of Deepak Kumar, 21, son of senior JD(U) MLA, Bima Bharti. Superintendent of Railway Police (SRP), Patna, Ashok Kumar Singh, on August 6, 2018, said that he expects to get the post-mortem report soon.

The SRP also said that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) constituted to probe into the death of Deepak Kumar is in Purnia for the last 2 days and will return to Patna on August 7, 2018. Bima Bharti represents Rpauli assembly constituency in Purnia district.

The SRP further stated that three friends of Deepak Kumar, who were with the deceased on August 2, 2018, night, have already been arrested. They are : Hritik Kumar, Kumar Mrityunjay and Vikas Kumar, the SRP said.

Deepak’s body was found on railway track at Rajendra Nagar Terminal on the morning of August 3, 2018. His mother Bima Bharti had lodged an FIR with police against 7 persons including a former MLA Shankar Singh charging them with murdering her son.

Deepak’s body had head and thigh injury marks, the SRP said. When asked about the reason behind Deepak’s death, SRP Singh said that it could be either accidental death or political murder.
