Police seize 99 cartons of foreign liquor in Muzaffarpur, 2 arrested

Muzaffarpur : Police seized 78 cartons  of foreign liquor from a container under Pier police station in Muzaffarpur district around 4 am on March 22, 2017, and also seized a Tata  407 van and two bikes besides arresting two liquor dealers, who hail from Vaishali district. Muzaffarpur SSP Vivek Kumar said the two arrested persons had also unloaded several cartons of liquor in Vaishali district which was being looked into by Vaishali police. A container can carry 500 cartons of liquor.

The two arrested persons  identified as Vikas Kumar and Rajiv Kumar were bringing the liquor from Haryana while the container carried UP registration number. The container driver, however, managed to escape. Police also seized 21 cartons of foreign liquor from a car under Mushhari police station on March 22 morning, according to DSP ( East), Muzaffarpur. Police seized the car and a bike.
