Police seize 775 kg Ganja from a truck in Bhojpur, 3 held

Ara : A team of Narcotics Control Bureau from Patna and Bhojpur police on November 8, 2019, jointly conducted raids under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district and seized a truck loaded with 775 kg of Ganja and also arrested the truck driver Rajesh Kumar, son of Triveni Kumar of Mahadev Sthan under Bihta police station in Patna district though the drug peddlers escaped from the spot.

An FIR has been lodged with Koelwar police station in this connection and police are conducting raids to arrest the drug peddlers. SHO, Koelwar police station, Brajesh Kumar said that Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar got information that a big consignment of contraband ganja was being brought through Koelwar on truck to Ara to supply the same to some drug peddlers. The SP immediately formed a police team under the SHO, Koelwar police station, and sent the police team along with a team of Narcotics Control Bureau from Patna to conduct raids and seize the consignment.

During interrogation, the driver of the truck disclosed that the Ganja was brought under Gajrajganj police outpost in Bhojpur district. On his revelation, police conducted raids  under Gajrajganj police outpost and seized Ganja in large quantity loaded on an Innova and also arrested two drug peddlers from there.
