Bhojpur police recover missing teenage girl from Katihar, arrest her lover

Ara : Bhojpur police recovered a teenage girl from Katihar and also arrested her so called lover from there on November 7, 2019, and brought them over to Ara on November 8. Police brought the girl over to Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her before an Ara Court to get her statement recorded under section 164 of CrPC. Police sent the youth to jail after interrogation.

SHO, Ara Muffasil Police Station, said that the teenage girl was missing from a village under the police station for about four months ago. Her father had lodged an FIR with Ara Muffasil police station alleging kidnapping of his daughter when he could not locate her.

After institution of the FIR, police, following mobile surveillance, got clue that the love birds are in Katihar. Police immediately went to Katihar and recovered the girl and arrested her lover from village Chandrapura in Katihar district. The SHO further said that the youth was working as a labourer at the house of the girl and fell in love with her. About four months ago, he allegedly kidnapped the girl and took her to Katihar.
