Ara : Bhojpur police seized 47.06 quintal of wheat packed in 100 gunny bags and loaded in a mini truck on September 21, 2017, night, on the Ara-Patna main road under Koelwar police station. Police also seized the mini truck and arrested its driver Kailash Singh, son of Chandrakesh Singh of Gudi Saraiya under Krishnagarh police station in Bhojpur district. The wheat was loaded from the SFC godown in Koelwar. Later, police filed a case in this connection and forwarded the driver to jail.
SHO, Koelwar police station, Pankaj Saini, said that on a tip off, police chased and intercepted the truck and seized 100 bags of wheat loaded from the SFC godown. The wheat was to be sold in the black market, the SHO said. He said that the driver confessed before the police that he was taking the wheat from the SFC godown allegedly in connivancewith some employees of the godown. The SHO said that he informed the Block Supply Officer (BSO), Sandesh, about the seizure of the wheat.
