Police seize 400 cartons of IMFL from Buxar village, smugglers escaped

Buxar : Police, on a tip off, conducted raid at village Amsari under Murar police station in Buxar district and seized 400 cartons of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) though the liquor smugglers escaped from the scene. An FIR has been lodged by Murar police station under the Prohibition & Excise Act, and police are conducting raids to arrest the liquor smugglers.

SHO, Murar police station, Nathuni Paswan, said that he got information that a big consignment of IMFL has been kept at the house of Sudama Paswan and Sonu Paswan at village Amsari. He immediately swung into action and conducted raids there. Seeing police, both the liquor smugglers escaped from there. The SHO said that police sealed the house of Sudama Paswan and Sonu Paswan and seized 400 cartons of IMFL. He said that the liquor smugglers were to supply the IMFL in their area but timely action by police foiled their bid. The SHO said that police would arrest them very soon.
