Saharsa : Eight persons belonging to Saharsa District in North Bihar died in the fire which broke out in a four-storey building at Delhi’s Anaj Mandi on Rani Jhansi Road on December 8, 2019, morning, killing 43 persons. Giving this information, Labour Enforcement Officer, Saharsa, Prafulla Kumar Das, said that senior state government were making arrangement to bring the bodies to Saharsa.

A resident of village Nariar under Sadar Police Station in Saharsa District Sikandar Khan said that seven residents of the village had died in Delhi fire. Over 35 persons belonging to Nariar  were working in  Jacket producing unit located in the aforesaid building. The deceased included Mohad Rashid, Mohd. Sanjjar, Mohd. Faisal, Mohd Sanjim, Mohd. Afzal, Mohd. Farid, and Mohd Gyash. All of them were working in factory owned by Mohd Zubair, who also hails from village Nariar. One Afsad Alam of Ward No 9, Nauhatta, Saharsa, also died in the fire.
