Ara : Some miscreants on December 9, 2019, threatened owner of a coaching institute Jayant Kumar Singh with dire consequences and also threatened to blow up the institute with bomb for creating separate batches for the girls and boys.

A named FIR has been lodged with Nawada police station, Ara, in  Bhojpur District, on the basis of mobile numbers against some students of the institute including Akash, Himanshu, and Dipu. Police are investigating into the matter.

SHO, Nawada police station, quoting the FIR, said that Jayant Kumar Singh of Madan Ji Ka Hata under the police station runs a coaching centre on K G Road. Some girl students of the coaching centre had complained that boys frequently passed vulgar comments against them.

On their complaint, the coaching centre management separated the batches of  boys and girls that infuriated some of the students including Akash, Himanshu, and Dipu and they protested separation of batch, the SHO said and added some boys also damaged the vehicle of the coaching centre owner parked outside the centre and hurled abuses on him. Not only this, some youth sent messages on the WhatsApp threatening Jayant Kumar Singh with dire consequences and also threatened to blow up the coaching centre if the girl and boys were not allowed to sit together.

The SHO said that the boys were threatening the coaching centre owner since December 5, 2019, and when they did not stop, Jayant Kumar Singh instituted a named FIR with Nawada police station against some students of the coaching centre. The SHO further said that police would arrest the named accused after investigation.
