Police search 12 hotels at Siwan

Siwan: A Siwan police team conducted raid at several hotels in urban areas in the wee hours on Thursday and arrested six youths of Jharkhand from there. The police team was led by ASP, Siwan, Arvind Gupta. Gupta on Thursday said that 12 hotels in town area were searched as cases of theft had increased in the district with the onset of winter season. He said that this has been previous record of the district. He said that the arrested youths hail from Sahebganj district (Jharkhand) and police recovered Rs 12,000 cash besides aadhar cards from their possession. He said that the cards of the youths were being verified. The ASP said that mostly groups from Sahebganj take shelter in hotels and carry out thefts in the district.
