Police rescue 55 Siberian birds from E Champaran village

Motihari : Police on December 7, 2017, rescued 55 Siberian birds from a house at village Sarotar under Dumariaghat police station in East Champaran district. House owner Suresh Sahni escaped before police conducted raid at his house. A lake spread over several acre at village Sarotar attracts Siberian birds during winter months.

A Environment and Forest Department team from Chakia led by Ranger Khurshid Alam soon reached the village and conducting probe into the matter. All the recued Siberian birds are being sent to Sanjay Gandhi Biological Garden, Patna.
